Steve teaches trumpet/cornet/flugel horn, music theory and jazz improvisation throughout London.

His rates are very competitive and he offers the first lesson for an introductory price of £25 per hour (+ travel, where appropriate). Block-booking and student/low-income discounts are also available: please contact him for more information.

His students range from 10 year-old children to 50 year-old adults and and from complete beginners to advanced players looking to work on refining their technique or learning advanced jazz improvisation.

Whatever the ability of the student, his patient, relaxed teaching style ensures that they progress quickly but in a relaxed manner.

Steve is well used to working with students who have particularly busy schedules and can suggest ways of maximising available practice time in order to progress as efficiently as possible.

As a musician experienced in many genres, Steve can focus on a particular genre or style of music if desired, and can also teach jazz/improvisation theory alongside regular technique.

Steve prefers to teach at his home in Stoke Newington/Highbury (nearest tube: Arsenal/Finsbury Park, buses 19, 4, 341, 141, 236, 393).
