I teach trumpet/cornet/flugel horn, music theory and jazz improvisation throughout London.

My rates are very competitive and I offer the first lesson for an introductory price of £25 per hour (+ travel, where appropriate). Block-booking and student/low-income discounts are also available: please contact me for more information.

My students range from 10 year-old children to 50 year-old adults and and from complete beginners to advanced players looking to work on refining their technique or learning advanced jazz improvisation.

Whatever the ability of the student, my patient, relaxed teaching style ensures that they progress quickly but in a relaxed manner.

I am well used to working with students who have particularly busy schedules and can suggest ways of maximising available practice time in order to progress as efficiently as possible.

As a musician experienced in many genres, I can focus on a particular genre or style of music if desired, and can also teach jazz/improvisation theory alongside regular technique.

I prefer to teach at my home in Dalston (nearest station: Dalston Kingsland, buses 30, 38, 236, 149, 277 and many more!).

Please note that whilst timetabling is very flexible, if a lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, there is a cancellation fee of £20 to cover lost income etc. This is rarely an issue, but please do be aware of this when booking a lesson!
